Lots of girly drawings in this post in honor of the fact that I've been asked to join the Girls Drawing Girls group, which I think will be really fun. They have a website here: http://www.girlsdrawingirls.com/
This 1st one I did about a month ago after seeing some way cooler then I'll ever been skate boarding ladies on Venice beach.
This one is for Zoe Moss' way cute and nerdy Sailor Moon sketch blog. Its a deranged Chibi Moon! If you ever doodle sailor moon and want to post some drawings, check out the blog here: http://sailormmm.blogspot.com/
These two are quick self portraits
The rest of these are all quick sketches I do sometimes while watching TV (I'll admit, mostly Degrassi, its a guilty pleasure). I don't usually post my sketch book pages, but I thought these ones were kind of fun in a heavy lined ugly kind of way : )
It wasn't until about a week later that the mystery of the furniture and planters being moved was solved. It turned out that a man that works for the apartment was going to paint the porch and thats why the furniture was moved. He actually didn't paint the porch until days later.... haha, you'd also think he could have given some warning!
Hello! The art show was super fun! I think I'll post a few pictures next post. Here are some sketches for a show idea I've been working on called "Petition Master"
At the bottom are some very rough and hard to read story boards from it : )
These are the rest of the new paintings from last nights art show! (a couple were on a previous blog, but these are better scans) They will be up in the gallery for a month if anyone is interested in purchasing them (some are already sold, if you e-mail me I could tell you which ones are available) The gallery is open business hours and is located:
Location: Sirens Salon Street: 657 N. Spaulding (just south of Melrose) City/Town: Los Angeles, CA
I have an art show on August 9th and I've been trying to get back into painting (its been awhile!) These are my 1st two attempts. I also included the sketches.
I'm so happy : ) I finished my 4th year film "The Terror From Mars" it'll be screened at the CalArts producer's show. Portfolio review is one week from now! agggg these are some drawings for my story board portfolio
These are the designs for Paul, the little boy dressed as a space man in my film. The one at the bottom is the exploratory designs, on top of that is his turn around and model sheet. This film is going to be a challenge to design. I decided not to color it... I just don't think I'll have time so I'm going to try to make it look as nice as I can in black and white.
I finally have time to work on it now that the school semester is over! Its about a martian girl and thats all I'm going to say for now. I spent the past few days working on her design, then finalized it and did a model sheet and turn around. I also did a painting to try and figure out how the back ground is going to look. I've been working on the boards. The Star and the Forces of Evil short is going great! I I'd like to post some of the vis dev work from it but I'm not sure if I can at the moment...
This is a little story board assignment I did that I'm thinking about using for my portfolio. Its about a little mouse escaping two foxes. I was watching youtube videos of foxes leaping in the snow to look for mice so I used that for the inspiration. After that are some little vinyettes for class.
